“Do I Wanna Know” new music from Arctic Monkeys? Yes. Yes, I do.

It’s been a year since we last heard from UK rock darlings ARCTIC MONKEYS, who first looked good on the dance floor in 2005 and haven’t looked back since. In 2012 they released the rock powerhouse single “R U Mine” and performed at the London Summer Olympics opening ceremony, but the band then went quiet amid rumors that they were recording a new album in Joshua Tree, California.

Now the Arctics have returned to the stage with new music in tow kicking off their May 22 show at the Majestic Ventura Theater in Ventura, California, with the new jam “Do I Wanna Know.”

“Do I Wanna Know” follows the same dark, bluesy sound that the Arctic Monkeys have adopted in recent years. The live video is somewhat distorted but the song itself boasts a driving guitar line, heavy drums and what sounds like a keyboard outro riff.

Fans are already pointing out the similarities between “Do I Wanna Know” and “R U Mine,” which is posted below.

The Arctic Monkeys are currently finishing a US tour. After playing Sasquatch Festival in Washington State tomorrow and a string of stateside dates on the western part of the country, they venture to Europe for the summer music festival season. Fans will hopefully be treated to more new tunes in the upcoming sets.
