[awesome video alert] Art Decade ‘Breeze’

After what went down on the TD Garden ice last night, we here in Boston can use a bit of an escape. Visually, that arrives this morning via the new Whitney-Alexander-directed music video for ART DECADE’s feathery symphonic pop song “Breeze.”

The clip’s animation took more than a year to complete; it was filmed by Ricky Gonzalez, with post-production work by Alexander and Kipp Jarden. In “Breeze,” Art Decade frontman Ben Talmi finds himself wandering on the beach before colorful means of mental escape spring up at every step.

“It was our attempt at combining the worlds of surrealism and impressionism with modern day live action,” says Talmi.

The track comes from the Boston band’s 2012 album, Western Sunrise, which you can stream below. And while it’s a ways away, catch Art Decade playing with Hawkwind and Perhaps at the Wilbur Theatre on October 10. Tickets are on sale now.
