Last week in a post announcing the fall PEARL JAM tour, we noted that there was another countdown clock posted on the band’s official website. We thought maybe it would lead to some sort of ticket on-sale portal, or a fan club membership, or a chance to win a luscious lock off Eddie Vedder’s beautiful head of hair.
Well, nope, it was a countdown to a new fucking single.
Today we get “Mind Your Manners,” a pretty aggressive new tune that’s the first taste off tenth studio album Lightning Bolt. The new LP, out this fall, October 15 off Republic Records, was produced by Brendan O’Brien. Interested parties may pre-order it here.
Honestly, it’s pretty good, and proves this upcoming Pearl Jam tour won’t be a nostalgia act.
Tickets to the shows below, including an October 15 date at the DCU Center in Worcester, go on sale July 27.
