Listen to the new Burglary Years song, “Hey, Do You Wanna Come Over?”

Burglary Years’ 2012 demo was one of our favorite records to come out of Boston last year, highlighted by the propulsive modern rock track “Lifesaver.”

After a few shows earlier this year, from opening for Beach Fossils at T.T.’s to the pill in Allston (where they blissfully covered My Bloody Valentine), the band seems to be going through a bit of a lineup shuffle. That, however, hasn’t slowed down the promise of a new, debut LP off Cleveland-based Mayfly Records later this year. The first public unveiling off that upcoming record is “Hey, Do You Wanna Come Over?”, a track that appeared on last year’s demo and will be featured on a Mayfly “summer sampler.”

It’s a cleaned-up, updated version of the demo track, and it further shows off Burglary Years’ moody, darkly-sparkling pop, and well… well, fuck we really love this and can’t wait for the rest of it. This is great.

And in case ya hadn’t heard it, check out the demo cut of “Lifesaver”…
