Free show alert: METZ + The Men + Desert Sharks @ the Sinclair 07.25.13

Converse Rubber Tracks is back on the Boston scene, crispy and clean. And the price is right.

After a double-dip of shows at the Sinclair in May that raised coin for the One Fund (and featuring Yeasayer, Curren$y, Bodega Girls, the Perceptionists, and others), the Rubber Tracks concert series returns to the Harvard Square venue for a FREE SHOW a week from today, July 25. This time they’re bringing Toronto noise-pop/sweat-rock trio METZ, and a pair of chin-up New York bands, rock and roll dudes the Men and surfy garage-punk girls Desert Sharks.

The ticket RSVP opens at noon today (July 18) via Ticketmaster. UPDATE: Select “will call” for the RSVP to properly process.

If you haven’t experienced a METZ live show, now’s the time. The Sub Pop band brings a raw energy to the stage that’s nearly unmatched these days. And Jesus H. Cobain, they often get compared to Bleach-era Nirvana. And people are cool with it. Come on.

So get on this. and dress lightly, because this one’s gonna be a ripper.
