Australian electro-pop duo Empire Of The Sun have not only one of the certified Summer Jams 2013 in the rousing buzz-banger “Alive,” but also one of our favorite tracks of the year in the Cars-ish, synthpop-styled “Concert Pitch.”
Yesterday, Luke Steele and Nick Littlemore did a bit of concert pitching of their own, announcing a fall North American tour that stops at our House of Blues on September 7 [tickets go on sale Friday]. The “Ice On The Dune” tour, named for their June LP and the long-awaited follow-up to 2008’s breakthrough Walking On A Dream, is a mix of venues and music festivals, including HARD in Los Angeles, Made in America in Philadelphia, Life is Beautiful in Las Vegas, and the Breakaway fests in Frisco, Texas, and Columbus.
