Watch Revocation tear up Great Scott in their new video for ‘Invidious’

A few weeks ago Revocation took a quick break from global annihilation to shoot a live music video at Great Scott. The Boston metal band invited Acaro, Sexcrement, and roughly 200 sweaty motherfuckers to tear up the Allston rock club, and the result is this clip for “Invidious,” off their recent self-titled, Billboard-charting album (out now on Relapse Records). The video was shot by David Brodsky.

Things look like they got pretty intense — the cover was just $2 for venue overhead costs, giving everyone in the room some extra cash to spend on booze — and we especially like the use of the Pill dance lights. We thought they felt a bit metal-y when we showed up the following Friday.

Meanwhile, Revocation’s Summer Slaughter Tour with the Dillinger Escape Plan, Animals as Leaders, and others, hits Seattle tonight and wraps up its 26-date North American run tomorrow night in Portland, Oregon.

The band will take to the road again this fall for Death Angel’s 2013 tour with 3 Inches of Blood, Battlecross, and Diamond Plate, and that rolls into the Middle East in Cambridge on November 2. Tickets are on sale now.
