O Positive, the Sheila Divine, Boston Emissions highlight 40th anniversary week @ T.T. The Bear’s

Forty years is a long time, but it’s a damn near eternity for a rock club. Cambridge live music haven T.T. The Bear’s Place hits that milestone next month, and today unveiled a week-long celebration that brings more than 30 bands, past and present, to its Central Square stage. The party kicks off Sunday, September 8, and wraps up that following Saturday, September 14.

Among the highlights that week are sets from O Positive, the Classic Ruins, Emergency Music, and the Sheila Divine, as well as a live broadcast from WZLX 100.7 FM’s Boston Emissions. TT’s bar manager Kevin Patey brings his Raging Teens in for a headlining Tuesday night slot, and the Saturday lineup is heavy on old-school Boston rock with Scruffy The Cat, the Dogmatics, and Willie Alexander.

More to come on the 40th anniversary as it draws near, but here’s a quick look at the full lineup, pulled right off the TT’s website (which in our opinion is still the best and most informative rock club site in Boston):

And here’s some O Positive, just because why the fuck not…
