VMvsic: Coin – Honey

VMusic_Logo.005.005
[dropcap]O[/dropcap]ur first Vanya deposit from Coin came from one of Alison D’Arrigo’s Weekenders mixes, and now the Nashville quartet is ready for their own close-up. Recent single “Atlas” has shown a shiny, indie-pop side to these gents, but we’re still all about the neurotic bedroom pop of “Honey,” a track that jangles and shakes and gently pushes your bangs off your eyes. In the video, Coin are dressed up as beekeepers and there’s a guy wandering around outside in a bear costume, and that’s pretty much all you need – on top of a cool jam – to get us to love you.

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]his is COIN, and we are a product of the ’90s. We decided that everything was too serious; so, we started a new project. Some call it swirly indie party pop. You can call it what you’d like, but we just want to make music that makes you feel good. Whatever does that, yes. Formed in Nashville, TN. We are named after a horse.
