With a massively successful bi-coastal introductory tour of the United States, a heat-seeking debut record, and the approval of pretty much everyone, it was no surprise Lorde would already be hitting the late-night TV circuit. Last night the 16-year-old New Zealand pop singer performed two songs on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, first the mega-hit “Royals,” for broadcast, then Pure Heroine album track “White Teeth Teens” for ze internets.
Shame there was no live rendition of “Tennis Court,” because that’s still pretty much our Number 1 jam.
Naturally, there’s no Boston date on Lorde’s quick East Coast show itinerary this week, so it looks like we have to wait until next year to get our fix. To hold us over, we’ll need to be mesmerized by clips like these.
