The Franklys invade America next week; check out ‘My Love’ before they hit the Midway Cafe

There’s a noisy garage rock buzzsaw ripping through the UK these days, and they go by the name the Franklys. Comprised of ladies from all over — connecting Sweden, England, and New York in a love of rock brash rock and roll — the quartet has been making the NME’s head spin thanks to the raucous clip for “My Love.” And now they make their stateside debut this Sunday in Baltimore.

Their seven-date US jaunt rolls into Jamaica Plain’s Midway Cafe on October 25, with some nice local flashes from the Thalia Zedek Band, former WFNX Boston Accents fave You People, and Elephants. The Midway is all sorts of intimate, so give some consideration to advance tickets, which are are available here.

There’s a local tie as well. Drummer Nicole Pinto is a Boston native, and played in a band called Grace Budd, who played the circuit back in the glorious ’90s.

Check out the Frankly’s run of East Coast dates, which kick off Sunday in Charm City. There’s also a fun tour announcement video over on YouTube, set to the tune of Liam Lynch’s “United States Of Whatever,” but they disabled embedding so you gotta click over here to see it.

Luckily, we’re blessed with the free-for-all-media video for “My Love,” and you can fire that up after the tour date jump.
