Watch Hand Job Academy’s ‘Shark Week,’ the greatest rap about the menstrual cycle to ever exist

Brooklyn hip-hop trio Hand Job Academy have boldly gone where few artists have dared to go before. In their new track “Shark Week,” Ash Wednesday, Clara Bizna$$, and Lil’ Thuggin tackle the female menstruation cycle in the most colorful of ways; I’m not even sure I’m comfortable citing their references here — which memorably include The Shining, Slayer, a clitoris-dwelling werewolf — so just fire up the video, which was posted yesterday, and learn some things. Class is in session, gents.

UPDATE 2:43 pm EST: From HJA: “Because of our scumbag ex-band member, ‘Shark Week’ has been temporarily removed from YouTube until we get it sorted out. In the meantime, you can watch the video [above]”:

Damn.

This might be the greatest period piece of our time. Rap game Marina Abramovic for real.
