Photo Gallery: Lady Lamb The Beekeeper last night @ the Sugar Club in Dublin

Editor’s Note: New England native Lady Lamb The Beekeeper conquered her first Irish headlining gig last night, thrilling the Sugar Club in Dublin with an hour’s worth of solo tunes. Vanyaland’s international correspondent Mick Murray of In Your Face Photo was there, and caught the action as Aly Spaltro ran through songs like “Bird Balloons,” “Crane Your Neck,” and an a cappella “Up In The Rafters,” where you could hear a pin drop among the roughly 160 patrons in attendance. “Overall, a very confident, excellent gig,” Murray reports.

After the show, Spaltro “signed anything and everything, including someone’s chest, and while most fans got just her signature, one lucky fan got a doodle drawing on a business card,” Murray adds. Check the last few pics for some fan interaction. Lady Lamb returns to the states for a gig with Deerhoof in Brooklyn November 1, then quickly heads back to Europe for a string of dates.
