Back in the early ’90s, Ice Cube had a really good day. We’re still talking about it. Now 20 years later, Justin Bieber hopes the latest installment of his Music Mondays series will be just as good, taking some heavy inspiration from the rapper in the pop star’s latest track, “Bad Day.”
The guitar hook in “Bad Day” sounds pretty familiar. Yeah, it sounds like Cube’s “It Was A Good Day.” We’ll stop just short of calling it a sample.
Surely this is some sort of salute. Either way, Ice Cube’s reaction to this “homage” should be interesting.
Though after Metallica admitted to being Beliebers after Justin “covered” the up-until-now metal anthem “Fade To Black,” nothing surprises us anymore. Except for days when we don’t have to use our AK.
