Lance Tobin of LT Live Presents named talent buyer of Allston’s Brighton Music Hall

Every now and then, it seems there’s a big shakeup among booking agents around town. In recent weeks, T.T. The Bear’s Place in Cambridge has enlisted former WFNX radio host Dave Virr as national talent buyer, and Somerville’s Johnny D’s added Bridget Duggan to its booking office team. And since, like deaths, these things tend to come in threes, something else was bound to happen.

And did yesterday, when the booking shuffle troika was rounded out by Lance Tobin of LT Live Presents, who announced via social media he was named talent buyer of Brighton Music Hall. He replaces Michael Bishop, who is relocating to Philadelphia.

Tobin’s LT Live Presents has primarily been booking metal shows at the Middle East in Cambridge, but promises a wide variety genres at the Allston rock club. The last LT Live show will be December 21 at the Middle East, a bill that features New York death metal veterans Malignancy.

“I just want to thank everyone who I’ve worked with from the Hyphen Productions days at Berklee, up through this year, which has been unbelievable,” Tobin wrote on his Facebook page. “Looking forward to bringing some of the best national acts to Boston, and continuing to build and support a thriving local music scene.”

Brighton Music Hall is a 476-person capacity venue, located on Brighton Avenue in Allston Village.

Among the bands coming to town in the next week are Midlake (November 5), Tim Kasher (November 7), and the Strokes’ Albert Hammond Jr. (November 11).
