We Are ‘Crazy See’: And suddenly… there is new music from Cambridge’s Drug Rug

Well, this was unexpected. Late-2000s Boston indie duo Drug Rug have offered up some new music today in the form of trippy, five-minute-long single “Crazy See.”

See, we’re not crazy. Or maybe we are.

The band reports that the song — which to us sounds like a playful hybrid of Belle & Sebastian and Arcade Fire, but what do we know? — will be on their new LP, Isle of View. And that LP will be released “eventually.”

In the meantime, let this warm jam hold us over. There is no artwork. Unless the artwork is just all white.

And if you missed it, check out their Daytrotter session, which apparently was recorded back in May in Rock Island, Illinois. Maybe that location ties into the name of the new record…

Stay tuned!
