December 3, 2013 – Boston, MA – After an inaugural year and two hugely successful festivals in 2013, Boston Calling Music Festival adds a Friday evening to its third edition, taking place Memorial Day weekend May 23, 24 and 25, 2014, at the city’s historic City Hall Plaza [One City Hall Square, Boston, Massachusetts]. Boston Calling is produced by Crash Line Productions and has earned the praises of nearly 70,000 fans between its May and September 2013 editions as well as glowing reviews from the likes of Rolling Stone and The Boston Globe for everything from its quality production to its versatile lineup. As with May and September, the festival promises to bring a heavy hitting lineup of nationally acclaimed artists to Boston. Former headliners include Fun., The National, Passion Pit, Vampire Weekend, Kendrick Lamar, and Of Monsters and Men, as well as local and emerging artists. The May 2014 3-day lineup will be announced early next year.

“We’re thrilled to be adding a Friday night to Boston Calling; it’s a great way to kick off the summer,” says Crash Line Productions and festival co-founder Brian Appel. “Memorial Day weekend in Boston will give people the chance to see some of the most incredible artists in the world, all performing right here in downtown Boston.”

Holiday Presale: With holiday spirit, and in celebration of its Friday night addition, Boston Calling announces a very limited holiday pre-sale for 3-Day Passes. General Admission 3-Day passes are $130 and VIP 3-Day passes are $300, a significant discount from the upcoming general on-sale prices. “We are offering this special sale to the fans of Boston Calling as a way of saying thank you for a great inaugural year” says Appel. Holiday Pre-sale passes will be on sale this Friday, December 6, 2013 at 10AM EST online at www.bostoncalling.com, www.ticketmaster.com. While bands will not be announced until early 2014, ticket buyers can count on another stellar weekend of music, similar in style to 2013’s May edition.
