Diamond Exchange: Infinity Girl win the ‘Christmas With The King’ cover song contest

[dropcap]M[/dropcap]ove over, Kim Bendix Petersen — there’s a new King in town. Boston noise-pop quartet Infinity Girl have taken home Vanyaland’s first ever cover song contest, as their moody, shoegazing rendition of King Diamond’s “No Presents For Christmas” was the top-vote getter in a public online poll that ended today after two weeks of fast and furious action.

It was a very close vote, and in fact, there was a tie for second between Adam PC and Matthew Connor.
[li]Adam PC – 24.2%[/li]
[li]Matthew Connor – 24.2%[/li]
[li]EXH4LER – 0.3%[/li]
[li]Infinity Girl – 25.9%[/li]
[li]Favores Explicitos – 5.2%[/li]
[li]Ryan SeaQuest 1.4%[/li]
[li]Vary Lumar – 6.7%[/li]
[li]Butterscott – 12.1%[/li]
In addition to all the glory that comes from winning these types of things, Infinity Girl also receive $250 cash-money to stuff into their holiday stockings. And we here at Vanyaland will match that and donate an extra $250 to Girls Rock Campaign.

Thank you to all who voted, and extra thanks to all the bands who entered “Christmas With The King” — a list that also included Butterscott, EXH4LER, Favores Explicitos, Ryan SeaQuest, and Vary Lumar.

Y’all did the King proud.

Death to false Christmas.

Hail and coal.
