‘A heartfelt FUCK YOU’ — Trent Reznor is pissed off at the Grammys

Many of us stayed up late tonight to watch Nine Inch Nails close out the 56th annual Grammys with a little on-stage help from friends Lindsey Buckingham, Dave Grohl, and Queens of the Stone Age. So imagine our surprise when the broadcast cut to a Delta commercial mid-performance, then ran credits over Trent Reznor and company while they were still busy rocking out.

Reznor, apparently, is not too pleased with the situation either. As the ensemble was tearing through Queens’ “My God Is The Sun,” which followed NIN’s “Copy Of A,” the CBS telecast faded out to credits, a Delta ad, a voice-over, and a pulled-back shot of a nearly empty Staples Center. Meanwhile, the band(s) were still ripping through their song.

Here’s what Reznor just tweeted a few minutes ago; sharing the sentiment of many:

According to Billboard, Queens of the Stone Age’s …Like Clockwork was nominated for Best Rock Album, while Nine Inch Nails’ Hesitation Marks was nominated for Best Alternative Music Album. Neither won a Grammy.
