Be Their Valentine: Petty Morals want to sex you up with new single ‘Keep It Down’

Screw Bruno Mars — Petty Morals should be playing the Super Bowl XLVIII Halftime Show later tonight. The Boston synth-punk girl-group is back with saucy new single “Keep It Down,” and it’s a seductive r&b track that needs no wardrobe malfunction to be noticed. It might, however, cause some clothes to get ripped off in the bedroom.

The single, off the upcoming Lemonade EP, is the first seductive taste of new tunes from Petty Morals since last March’s brat-disco demos, and it’s out this weekend to get us all warmed up for their heart-shaped Valentine’s Day gig at O’Brien’s in Allston with Boston’s gentlemanly dukes of garage rock White Dynomite and New York City’s Lord Classic.

“Master pleasure giver/Got me flowing like the Charles River” warns singer Tai Heatley in our favorite line from “Keep It Down.” Broadcast that shit on FOX and get locked out of heaven, Boston-rock style.

Stream the track for free via Bandcamp below, or DL it for $1. The Lemonade EP is officially out February 14, available on CD and digitally.
