Perhaps inspired by Miley Cyrus’ MTV special a few days earlier, it seems the Red Hot Chili Peppers went “unplugged” for their Super Bowl Halftime Show performance with Bruno Mars.
The internet is losing their shit over this photo of Chili Peppers’ bassist Flea, which shows him a-slappin’ and a-tappin’ on stage… without actually being plugged in. Guitarist Josh Klinghoffer was also free of any pesky cords.
Is Flea simply rocking the wireless?
Is he just going through the motions?
Are there any other clues that “Give It Away”?
Fansided, the Guardian and other media sites have jumped into the debate, and even Living Colour guitarist Vernon Reid raised an eyebrow during Sunday’s telecast…
