Hey so no big deal or whatever but ’90s emo band Mineral just launched a new website…

Update April 24, 11:26 a.m.: We have a reunion tour, and it hits Brighton Music Hall on September 10. Into It. Over It are on board. Good times.

…As well as a Twitter account and Instagram page. With the recent emo revival in full swing and fresh off the news of an American Football reunion, emotions are running pretty high these days. But it does look like Mineral, a mid-’90s emo band who dropped two full-length records on Crank! and achieved a bit of influential notoriety in the passing years, have something brewing.

A Mineral Facebook page that was created a few years ago seems to have some action going on, but it’s the new website that’s got people talking. Naturally, there’s nothing on the website, but the fact that it suddenly exists 16 years after the band’s demise is news unto itself.

Also, there’s… that… Twitter account — there are no tweets just yet, but it is following 12 others, including the Windish Agency (a tour, perhaps??), Washed Up Emo, and bands like the Get Up Kids, Into It. Over It and Texas Is The Reason.

Aaaaand then there’s that new Instagram page, which has only four photos, all of band gear, from just this month.

So.

Yeah.

Stay tuned.

In the meantime, here’s a quick look back at a simpler time in all our lives…

Oh and they also covered the Psychedelic Furs’ “Love My Way”…
