Choose Your Side: It’s ‘Time Vs. Money’ for you, me, and the Bynars new single

Last year in “Dancing On A Dream,” Boston’s the Bynars sang about “dancing alone for so long” they couldn’t believe all their “money was gone.” This year cash flow has a new nemesis, one not too unfamiliar with the dance floor: Time.

It’s the subject of the Bynars latest single, “Time Vs Money,” which was recorded back at February at Q Division studios in Somerville, as part of the Converse Rubber Tracks series. The groovy, circular-pop track is available for pay-what-you-want download up on the Bynars Bandcamp, but be warned: any generous donations will be re-invested right back into the band’s next single.

“You spend the money, and I’ll spend the time” the Bynars assure us on “Time Vs. Money.” Shit just got meta. And we haven’t even yet mentioned the single comes with a updated b-side of “Dancing On A Dream.”

Catch the Bynars May 9 at the Middle East in Cambridge when they play Aloud’s record release party. Also on the fab bill are the Field Effect and DJ Panda.

Check the tune below. We’ll kick off This Is 617 on Vanya Radio with it around 1 p.m. EST…
