Aft of Spades: Testament, High On Fire, Down added to Motörhead’s Motörboat cruise

This fall, the cruise will be better than the catch.

Testament, Phil Anselmo’s Down, High On Fire, and Rex Brown’s Kill Devil Hill will join previously-announced bands like Megadeth, Anthrax, Zakk Wylde, and Fireball Ministry on the first-annual Motörhead’s Motörboat. Capt. Lemmy and crew will set sail September 22 to 26 on the Carnival Ecstasy out of Miami.

Dubbed “The Loudest Boat In The World,” they’ll visit the ports of Key West, Florida and Cozumel just off Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula. The presser makes additional promises: “While onboard, guests will have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to interact with band members and will see unforgettable performances on various stages throughout the ship.”

Also performing are Jim Breuer, Danko Jones, and Wilson.

About the boat: “The Carnival Ecstasy, which recently underwent a multi-million dollar refurbishment, features a tropical-themed resort-style main pool area, multiple dining options (including a 24-hour pizzeria), 12,000-square-foot Spa Carnival health club, a jogging track, as well as 12 lounges, bars and nightspots.”

Tickets and reservations are sale now via motorheadcruise.com.
