Now that we’ve successfully hurdled Independence Day weekend, it’s high time to set our sights on the next event we have planned with sister site Do617. Last Call returns to Brighton Music Hall in Allston on July 19 with another late-night rock and roll show, turning the shitshow meter up to 10 and enlisting a pair of Boston guitar-rock aces: noisy grunge trio Blackbutton and noir-punk misfits The Devil’s Twins.
I’ll be serving as your DJ for the evening, and since there’s no Britpop Social Club this month (we forgot to book one for July, oops) expect anything from post-punk classics to Britpop anthems before, between, and after the bands.
