T.H.E. Groove: Create your own Tiny Hat for Sidewalk Driver’s July 19 show @ the Sinclair

Tiny Hat Envy — or T.H.E., as it’s commonly referred to in medical circles — is a devastating ailment, and one of the leading causes in missing Sidewalk Driver shows around town. But the Boston glam-rock band has teamed up with Indie Rock Ranger and Daykamp Creative to ensure everyone in attendance at the Sinclair on July 19 gets to wear their own tiny hat, just like Sidewalk Driver frontman extraordinaire Tad McKitterick.

Below is a printable template and step-by-step guide in creating your own Tiny Hat, which you can wear to the Harvard Square rock club next Saturday night. The Indie Rock Ranger bill also features the Venetia Fair, Salita (EP release), and the Color And Sound. Tickets are available here.

Leave your T.H.E. at home.

“Tad wears a tiny hat for the same reason that Superman wears tights and a cape,” Indie Rock Ranger’s Richard Bouchard tells Vanyaland. “He’s no Clark Kent when he’s on stage and people should know that just by looking at him. It’s his Superman cape. Or Batman cowl. Or Wonder Woman bracelets. People should wear one and notice the change within themselves. Also, chicks dig them.”

Check out this short video detailing some of the symptoms of T.H.E., and print out the Tiny Hat templates after the video jump.
