Happy Feat: Watch ‘Weird Al’ Yankovic take on Pharrell in his new parody, ‘Tacky’

Just when we thought the sun had finally set on Pharrell’s certified 2014 Mega Jam “Happy,” it has inexplicably made a comeback into our lives.

First, it hilariously blared through Estádio Maracanã at the end of yesterday’s World Cup final match in Brazil while losing squad Argentina were trying to get off the pitch. And now today, it’s back via the greatest pop culture honor known to mankind (unless you’re Coolio): a parody by “Weird Al” Yankovic.

“Tacky” has premiered this morning, and you can watch the video below. It kickstarts Yankovic’s #8videos8days project, all to promo new record Mandatory Fun, out tomorrow. It’s his first album in three years, and we’re told Lorde, Miley Cyrus, and others are given the “Weird Al” treatment.

The video features guest appearances from comedians Aisha Tyler, Margaret Cho, Eric Stonestreet, Kristen Schaal and Jack Black, and was shot at Palace Theatre in Los Angeles. In the song, the apparently timeless Weird Al takes on everything from Kanye to wearing sandals with socks.
