Hey Now, Hey Now Now: Brighton Music Hall announces new monthly goth night Corrosion

Brighton Music Hall is getting its goth on.

The Allston live music venue has announced a new goth and industrial night called Corrosion, and it launches Saturday, September 6. After the opening night, the dance party will repeat on the first Saturday of the month starting in November.

The first Saturday in November just so happens to fall on the day after Halloween, so prepare to get excited if you’re into such calendarial coincidences.

Corrosion is the brainchild of Brian Lumauig, DJ of WZBC’s longtime radio show the Industrial Factory and the occasional dark-art night at River Gods in Cambridge. Lumauig will be joined in the booth by New York/New Jersey-based DJ Devil’s Advocate.

We asked Lumauig what to expect…

“A fusion of old-school industrial culture and brand new sounds where Front 242, Nitzer Ebb and Wax Trax!-era classics come together with current hard-edged industrial from acts like 3TEETH, Haujobb, and others,” he tells Vanyaland. “We’re aiming for this night to be a total experience, both aural and visual, to the point that when you walk in to Brighton Music Hall it will feel like a whole new club.”

More to come. Here’s the flyer, and the song that inspired the name…
