Seventh Inning Army: Angry Jack White at a Cubs game is the greatest thing ever

Jack White is coming to Fenway Park in September, and hopefully he’s in a better mood than tonight, when he took in a Cubs game at Chicago’s Wrigley Field. Rocking a classic single-white-stripe v-neck Cubbies jersey, the cameras caught White mid-scowl, and naturally, the internet is going wild over it. Check it both up top and below.

Maybe White was bummed the Cubs only had a 3-0 lead over the San Diego Padres (at press time), maybe he’s upset at the return of recently-traded starting pitchers Jeff Samardzija and Jason Hammel from the Oakland Athletics (he shouldn’t be, Addison Russell will be a stud), or maybe he’s just like “How the fuck did I end up at a Cubs game?”

Cub fans know that look all too well.

Undeterred, White will bring the hard stares to Newport Folk Festival this weekend for a headlining Saturday night set. Like the Cubs broadcast’s message, it promises to be the party of the century.
