Ms. Lauryn Hill is coming to the House of Blues in Boston a week from tomorrow night, and no matter how late she decides to finally go on stage, do not — we repeat, do not — convey anything that would give off any disrespect.

She will promptly have your ass escorted out the building!

At a recent show at Chicago’s House of Blues, Hill apparently came out for her set about 50 minutes late, which she’s been prone to do these days. When a fan allegedly heckled her over how sloppy her opening number was, Hill went into lecture mode and had the fan removed from the venue.

The video that emerged via TMZ today doesn’t show what the fan said, so we really don’t have much context, but we do know Hill didn’t take it lightly. TMZ says many in the crowd were upset over the rushed and sloppy performance, especially after waiting an hour past her scheduled 10:30 p.m. start time for Hill to perform.

“Excuse me, there’s a gentleman over there who just did something I don’t like, can you please escort him out and refund his money… I don’t play that,” Hill declared, according to transcript from the Huffington Post. “I don’t need to win you over, but you don’t need to win me over. You can go, and you can take all your money right back…”

That wasn’t all.

“That’s alright,” she continued. “I do this because I love it, not because I owe you anything… you can get on your blogs and you can tweet and say whatever you want to, I don’t give a rat’s ass. I do this because I love it!”

PREACH!
