Eighth Wonder: Foo Fighters confirm new record ‘Sonic Highways,’ release track list and cover art

The busiest man in rock and roll is about to get busier. And something tells us he’s cool with it. Because he’s Dave Grohl.

American rock band Foo Fighters today confirmed new album Sonic Highways, releasing its track listing and cover art, and setting a release date of November 10. Song titles include “Something From Nothing,” “The Feast and The Famine,” and “What Did I Do?/God As My Witness.” Read the full track-listing below, and click here for pre-order information.

For this Album Number 8, Dave Grohl and the band recorded one track in eight different U.S. cities: Austin, Chicago, Los Angeles, Nashville, New Orleans, New York, Seattle, and Washington, DC. The album’s vinyl release will come with nine different covers including city-specific variants for each of the cities it was recorded. Sonic Highways will also be accompanied by mini series of the same name, which will serve to document the recording progress.

“This album is instantly recognizable as a Foo Fighters record, but there’s something deeper and more musical to it,” says Dave Grohl. “I think that these cities and these people influenced us to stretch out and explore new territory, without losing our ‘sound.'”
