Peace Out II: Stream the new (and final?) record from Pretty & Nice before their farewell show

As Ben Potrykus of Bent Shapes tweeted out a few days ago, it’s been a tough summer for the Boston pop underground. Earlier in the week, Spirit Kid played a “see ya later” show before head ‘Kid Emeen Zarookian headed off to Los Angeles in search of beach life, and tomorrow night, indie mainstays Pretty & Nice perform their farewell show at Great Scott.

But like Spirit Kid and their summer jam “Severance,” Pretty & Nice aren’t saying goodbye without giving us some final music thrills until the inevitable reunions a few years down the road.

The band is now streaming its Infinitely Forever EP in its entirety over on Bandcamp, where you can also order the limited-edition cassette tape. Of course, you can always buy it tomorrow night at Great Scott, a sure to be misty-eyed affair that doubles as the Zine Fest afterparty and welcomes Infinity Girl, Ava Luna, and Krill to the Allston stage.

The new Pretty & Nice EP features two new tracks as well as three tidy remixes, so fire up Infinitely Forever below. And you might want to look into buying tickets in advance. Great Scott rules with an iron fist when it comes to sellouts, and you don’t wanna be caught outside on Harvard Ave with your ears pressed up against the wall near Green Side Up. That’d just be silly.

So, yeah.

Peace out, Pretty & Nice. Many are pretty, but fewer are nice, and you were the rare Boston breed that was both. Thanks for the memories. xx
