Video Premiere: Watch the world through Augustines’ ‘Weary Eyes’

Earlier this month we posted the Kickstarter trailer for Rise: The Story of Augustines, an in-the-works documentary that set to tell the story of the beloved and enduring New York rock band. While the film traces the rise, fall, and rise and fall another hundred times over of musicians Billy McCarthy and Eric Sanderson dating back to their time with Pela, the Augustines chapter is far from finished. There will almost certainly be a part two somewhere down the line, because the Augustines ascent is still very much a thing.

With that in mind, the band today released a new music video for “Weary Eyes,” off the trio’s self-titled sophomore LP released in February. The clip, produced by Greatcoat Film, finds McCarthy riding a bike around Paris (we think), encountering strangers and new friends along the way. There’s true emotion in the faces.

“Weary Eyes” is officially out at a single on September 8. Watch the video below…

And here’s the trailer for Rise, in case you missed it on August 7. The campaign has raised more than $25,000 with 18 days to go. The goal is $55,000.
