Interview: On the couch with Gentlemen Hall, live from Boston Calling Music Festival

This afternoon at Boston Calling we handed a GoPro camera to the dudes in Gentlemen Hall, and their mission was simple: shoot whatever the fuck you want. Go backstage, harass Paul Westerberg, talk with ladies, meet new fans, knock back a few beers in the artist lounge, shoot shoot shoot. In a few hours we’ll get back their handiwork, and edit together a video of their best scenes with some live footage of their set this afternoon at City Hall Plaza.

Before we released the band back into the Boston Calling wild, we pulled frontman/guitarist Gavin Merlot and keyboardist/flautist Seth Hachen onto the official Vanya couch for a little chit-chat in the festival’s media tent. We discussed the band’s relaunch with a new lineup, their new music, what we can expect from GHall in the not-so-distant future, our past relationship at the dearly-departed WFNX 101.7 FM, and a whole bunch of other important shit.

Check out the clip below, and stay tuned for that GoPro video.
