Between new releases, festival appearances, national tours and late-night TV appearances, this year has been a good one for Magic Man, and now the Boston-born electro-pop band gets to line up with FMLYBND, Slaptop, and Santigold in representing the United States in EA Sports’ FIFA ’15 video game.
Magic Man’s “Tonight,” a track off this year’s Before The Waves LP, will be featured.
And the opposition is tough.
England boasts Kasabian (September 26 at the Paradise), Rudimental Feat. Alex Clare and Jungle on their side, while Sweden enlists Elliphant, who is going on tour with Charli XCX (Ocober 4 at Royale).
FIFA ’15 is out September 23 in the United States, and three days later in the United Kingdom. Lionel Messi is the global cover star, while US editions will feature World Cup hero Clint Dempsey.
