We’re Gonna Be Friends: Jack White’s team issues clarification on alleged Foo Fighters smack talk

It was the best bit of shit talk in the right field section of Fenway Park since Dwight Evans patrolled that patch of grass for the Red Sox in the late ’70s. But Jack White’s publicity team at Nasty Little Man in New York has tried to clarify the former White Stripe’s comments last night about the Foo Fighters during his show in Boston.

It was all just a joke.

C’mon, people!

The statement, which we just received via email with the subject line JACK WHITE AND FOO FIGHTERS, is below. Funny how it doesn’t mention Rolling Stone or the Kardashians or Taylor Swift…

Dear dream-makers of the media….

Last night Jack White made a joke on stage!

There was a minor equipment mishap, specifically with his guitar, and in an effort to keep his audience engaged, he made a joke! It was meant to be funny and self deprecating: “hey sorry, you’re stuck with just me up here…” vs the Foo Fighters who have three guitar players on stage and regularly play stadium shows.

Jack has the upmost respect for the Foo Fighters and communicated with Grohl this morning.

So if you’ll let us, we’ll all continue with our day and we assure you: All is well in the rock n roll world.

Here’s the rant/non-rant, #ICYMI:
