Seven Nation Whining: Listen to Jack White smack talk Foo Fighters, Rolling Stone in four-minute Fenway Park rant

Credit: Malcolm Taylor

For last night’s show at Fenway Park, Jack White banned all photography, and urged folks in attendance to ignore their phones during his live performance out in the bleachers. Luckily, recording devices were in full effect, as one concert-goer captured White’s nearly four-minute, playful bitch session, which the musician described as a “Kanye West-esque rant” but then said it wasn’t really a rant after all.

In it, which you can listen to below, he takes shots at Foo Fighters for having backup musicians on stage, arch-nemesis rollingstone.com for supporting the Kardashians and Taylor Swift’s fashion habits, and offered up the following nugget: “So forget ISIS, forget the war in the Middle East, forget any problems at home, forget gay marriage, forget everything you ever thought about everything. This not a rant. This is just me saying, hello Cleveland!”

There must be something about ballparks that brings out the grump in White. A few weeks ago he was infamously captured sulking at a Chicago Cubs game.

Listen to the full, uhh…. “non-rant” below:
