Claws For Concern: Cat Power cancels tonight’s Boston show, offers cute cartoon drawing as peace offering

In news devastating to felines and music fans alike, Cat Power has cancelled her show tonight at the Paradise Rock Club in Boston. Refunds are, no doubt, available at point of purchase.

Chan Marshall relayed the news via Facebook this afternoon, saying she is “too sick to travel” and she needs to “stay in bed.”

Poor kitty. Here’s the news, in her words (we removed the emoticons that were causing havoc to this post, but they included a star and crying face):

IM SO SORRY BOSTON I HAVE TO CANCEL MY SHOW TONITE … I AM TOO SICK TO TRAVEL & NEED TO STAY IN BED … please forgive me … I PROMISE ILL MAKE IT UP TO YOU ALL thank you for your support & understanding #sicksucks

Also included in Marshall’s note was this adorable little cat drawing, which we’re going to just assume she drew and colored in herself as a peace offering for bailing on tonight’s show. We accept it and forgive. Hopefully Marshall is better by her next scheduled gig, October 8 in Toronto.

Get well soon Chan, and keep those floors clean. Meow.
