Vanyaland Premiere: Halston experience pleasures of public transportation in ‘Blood On The Chair’

First they took on the holidays. Then they captured the attention of Italy. Now Boston pop duo Halston have set their sights to something spotted on public transportation, and we’ll just assume it’s the MBTA because that makes for a better local narrative.

This morning Halston unexpectedly dropped their latest single, “Blood On The Chair” and it’s a frenetic little pop nugget that recalls the street swagger of late-’70s New York City, but with a whole lot more weirdness. So maybe it’s actually about the MTA.

What we do know is that it’s “a tale of early morning public transportation gone horribly right,” says Dando Halston. We’re not even sure what that’s about, but someone had an eventful ride on the subway.

We think.
