Early Sunday afternoon we were rolling up Commonwealth Avenue in Boston and witnessed a gaggle of teens sprawled out in front of the Paradise Rock Club and its fine next door establishments. We were like “Dang, the kids are turning out for this joint,” and as we approached the ‘Dise realized Boston-born electronic pop band Magic Man were performing, in town on a double-headliner bill with Smallpools.
Those who missed the show — and their set at Boston Calling back in May — can now get a taste of the Magic Man personal experience with the new video for “Tonight,” a live clip recently filmed in the United Kingdom at the band’s September Daytrotter session. The band last recorded with Daytrotter nearly a year ago.
“Tonight” is the latest single off this year’s breakout LP, Before The Waves, which is nominated for Album of the Year in the 2014 Boston Music Awards.
