Easy Breezy: Charli XCX takes on Tokyo in a nightgown and combat boots in alt video for ‘Boom Clap’

For those who like their daily dose of Charli XCX with a little less Fault In Our Stars comes the new “Tokyo Version” video of the singer’s breakout solo hit “Boom Clap.” The track was originally featured on the soundtrack for the summer young adult flick, and the video featured Ms. XCX prancing around Amsterdam while tear-jerker clips from the movie were spliced in.

But now, as we draw closer to the stateside release of Charli’s new album Sucker, out December 16, we get a brand new video for the jam that puts the focus squarely on our favorite pop star.

Returning to the city of her “SuperLove” video, here Charli takes on Toyko in little more than a nightgown and combat boots, and pulls it off nicely. We hope this look takes over for leggings-as-pants as the new style choice among fashionable people worldwide.

Check out the video below, and rekindle your love affair with one of the best songs of the summer.

Boom!

Clap!
