Let’s All Meet Up: Pulp documentary @ the Brattle + Britpop Social Club afterparty @ Abigail’s

“Now if you can stand… I would like to take you, by the hand, yeah… And go for a walk, past people, as they [return home from] work, oh”

Those people likely commute each day to, from, or through Harvard Square in Cambridge, because right after rush hour on November 19 Vanyaland teams up with the Brattle Theatre to present the area premiere of Pulp: a Film About Life, Death & Supermarkets.

And to celebrate this fantastic occasion, we’ll be hosting another round of Britpop Social Club as the official afterparty spot just a square-hop away at Abigail’s Restaurant in Kendall. The BSC resident selectors will play a mix of Cool Britannia classics, ’90s rarities, and some added bits of Jarvis-pop, running through the Pulp catalog from 1983’s It to 2001’s We Love Life.

Last month we raised a glass to Dog Man Star with some heavy servings of Suede classics all night long, and on this night we’ll do the same for Pulp.

Check out the doc’s trailer below, and see you on November 19. Let’s all meet up in the year 2014, and declare this day Pulp Day in the city of Cambridge!

Oh yeah!
