Turns out there are happy endings in punk rock, after all.
Last week Fat Mike of NOFX made headlines around the world when he kicked a young Australian fan in the face on-stage during a show in Sydney. The bassist quickly apologized via Twitter and offered to buy the kid, Alex Medak, a drink at the next show.
Medak got one better. Several ones better, in fact.
As Consequence of Sound notes, NOFX invited Medak to their show at the Enmore Theatre in Sydney on Friday night. And not only did they all hang backstage, where Medak was given a t-shirt displaying the assault, signed by the band with a an incident-appropriate NOFX slogan on the back, but he also sang “Linoleum” on stage.
Medak tweeted out that it was “the best night of my life.”
