It’s Gonna Get Loud: Here’s the performer lineup for the 2014 Boston Music Awards

You want bands? The Boston Music Awards got bands. You want DJs? The BMAs got those, too. Everything else, from singer-songwriter types to genre-spanning collaborations to rising stars in the Boston hip-hop scene? Check, check, and check.

The 2014 Boston Music Awards is releasing its live lineup today, and the list of performers is impressive: a dozen bands, a night’s worth of DJs, and a Hall Of Fame-inducting performance from guitarist Johnny A.

Here’s the full list of performers: D-Tension & the Secret Project Band (with guests Aaron Perrino, Ad Frank, Jason Dunn, and Alex Stern), Ruby Rose Fox, Will Dailey, STL GLD, Sidewalk Driver, Tigerman WOAH!, CreaturoS, Dan Blakeslee, Dutch ReBelle, Hallelujah The Hills, John Powhida International Airport, DJs Chris Ewen, Frank White, Bianca Oblivion, and Leah V, and others to be announced between now and the December 14 awards show at the Revere Hotel in downtown Boston.

Tickets are on sale now.

With the move from the Liberty Hotel to the Revere, there will also be some changes to the set-up; this year’s BMAs will be centered around two large rooms and a middle space linking them together. It should be more of a social event and maybe more like an awards ceremony. There will be no need for elevators, as everything’s on the same floor, says BMA organizers.

There will also be, we are told, a nominee party going down at Redstar Union on December 11.

Voting for the 2014 BMAs is ongoing on the organization’s home page. For the second straight year, Vanyaland is nominated for Best Music Blog.
