Covering “Last Christmas” by Wham! has become a sort of holiday tradition here in Boston. Two years ago it was rock brigade the Field Effect throwing down the love for George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley, and in 2013 Animal Talk gave the ’80s classic their own indie-pop spin.
This year we have post-prog rock band Vary Lumar giving it the atmospheric treatment, stretching it out a bit and making it sound tastier than a glass full of Baileys. The longing remains.
