Playlist: The Voltage Factory 17 December 2014

Last Wednesday’s The Voltage Factory dug deep as Michael Christopher trimmed the fat and dispensed some no frills indie, punk and hard rock. The Top Five Trending Voltage Factory Tracks opened the show as always which featured a brand new joint from Marilyn Manson and a fresh cover from Local H. The Classic Album Spotlight for the week focused on The Clash’s London Calling, which just celebrated its 35th anniversary. There was a double shot of Mad Season – iwho just announced a new show for next year with Chris Cornell and Duff McKagan respectively standing in for the Seattle supergroup’s late vocalist Layne Staley and bassist John Baker Saunders. The Killer Cover had Joey Ramone doing a classic originally recorded by Louis Armstrong, and there was also a segment dedicated to the just announced Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Class of 2015, including Green Day, Joan Jett & the Blackhearts and Lou Reed.

The full set is below, and if you missed it, the show will repeat tonight at 10:00pm EST. Stream it via VanyaRadio or TuneIn.

And this Wednesday, be sure to check out The Voltage Factory as Mick Chris will be doing a special Christmas Eve show to go perfectly with the early gift exchange, overindulgence of Eggnog and that annoying aunt who gets a little too loud after her third scotch.
