Watch Foo Fighters rock with Lemmy, David Lee Roth, Alice Cooper, Paul Stanley and others last night in LA

The notion of an all-star bash wasn’t limited to the East Coast last night. While we here in Boston partied hard in the name of ’90s alt-rock at the Paradise’s Hot Stove Cool Music, Dave Grohl’s birthday show in Los Angeles raised the game for everyone around the world.

The list of performers joining the Foo Fighters on stage at the renovated Forum is beyond impressive: Paul Stanley of KISS, Perry Farrell of Jane’s Addiction, Alice Cooper, David Lee Roth, Slash, Nick Oliveri, Trombone Shorty, Tenacious D, Zakk Wylde, and Lemmy of Motorhead.

Fucking Lemmy all up in there.

The Foo set up in the center of the former Inglewood home of the Los Angeles Kings and ripped through a few hours of covers and originals. Proceeds from the show benefited multiple charities $10 of each ticket reportedly went to Rock School Scholarship Fund, MusiCares and Sweet Relief.

Grohl turned 46.

Check out some fan-filmed video below. The Foo Fighters bring it to Boston next summer, when they play Fenway Park over two nights. Guests include Mission of Burma, the Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Royal Blood, and the Dropkick Murphys.
