They Grohl Up So Fast: Watch a 2-year-old drummer play ‘The Pretender’ by Foo Fighters

The Foo Fighters have truly become the People’s Band of the Twenty-Teens. They play baseball stadiums, they earn high marks for music documentaries, and can get pretty much everyone to come party with them at birthday concerts. It’s a strange thing.

Now, the band’s reach is extending to toddlers, and video is circulating of a two-year-old slaying… crushing… whatever’ing the Foo Fighters’ 2007 hit “The Pretender.” We think he’s doing a good job, because he’s two fucking years old, but as one YouTube commentor points out, “Kid sucks. Timing’s way off. Missed hits. Certain parts no even played at all. 1/10. ”

We’re sure that person is joking, because all we did at age 2 was shit, piss, and cry.

Meanwhile, Foo Fighters just wrapped up Dave Grohl’s birthday party in Los Angeles, and you can watch fan video of performances with Lemmy, Tenacious D, Paul Stanley, and others here. And don’t forget (how could you?), the Foo play two nights at Fenway Park in Boson this summer, July 18 and 19, with live guests Mission of Burma, Royal Blood, Dropkick Murphys, and the Mighty Mighty Bosstones.

Maybe this two-year-old will fill in for Taylor Hawkins.
