Once the clock struck midnight this past New Year’s Eve, there were two massive songs from 2014 that we didn’t near to hear ever again: Hozier’s “Take Me To Church” and “Problem,” Ariana Grande’s collab with Iggy Azalea.
Yet, somehow, Hozier covering “Problem” sounds pretty cool. The Irish musician gave his own shine to the pop hit this week BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge. The track gets a nice bit of soul and guitars, and is aided even further with Warren G and Nate Dogg’s 1994 hip-hop classic “Regulate” spliced in.
“If you know like I know,” Hozier sings, “you don’t want to step to this.”
Seriously.
