New York Minutes: Listen to Jack White perform at MSG, watch him on ‘The Tonight Show’


Home to the Knicks and Rag$, there’s often a lot of bullshit that goes down on the reg at New York’s Madison Square Garden. But on January 30, Jack White gave a show for the ages, and if you weren’t there, you can experience the magic via Pandora.

White has posted an audio recording of his 23-song set, which featured solo material, White Stripes hits, and Raconteurs selections. A Tribe Called Quest’s Q-Tip joined White during the encore for a performance of “That Black Bat Licorice,” off Lazaretto, then duo busted out Tribe’s “Excursions.”

White’s show was streamed live on Pandora, and the website has also featured an interview of White by The Daily Show’s Jordan Klepper, which took place before the Madison Square Garden show. Peep it below, with the full set list over the video rainbow:

Not to be outdone, White was also a guest last night on The Tonight Show, where he played the aforementioned Lazaretto track “That Black Bat Licorice.” Host Jimmy Fallon introduced him as a “29-time Grammy nominee.”
